Timber is kind, gentle, mannerly and a fun horse to own and ride! Light, forward and athletic without being nervous or quick. Soft in the face and sides, breaks at the poll, moves laterally, counter arch’s, and is balanced at the jog and lope. Huge, butt dragging stop, and beautiful, natural turn around.

Timber is athletic enough to be your next ranch/cow horse, an all arounder or even a three day eventer, and willing and reliable enough to be a steady lifelong trail partner and mountain mount.

He is savvy in the mountains, picks his way through rough terrain, is alert and attentive but not fearful, confident enough to go solo or content in the group.

He will ride bareback and in a halter.

Perfect to groom, saddle and bridle.

Timber is barefoot and has excellent feet, he is sound and stands nicely for the farrier.

He coexists well in a herd on pasture, or is willing to be stalled.

Timber was bred in Canada by Tall Timber Horses specifically for use in the mountains! He is the epitome of their breeding program; excellent mind and disposition, outstanding bone structure and conformation, four solid black hooves, he is willing and has endurance but smart enough to rest when he can! The quality of this gelding is not accident, he’s the product of careful breeding, professional training and lots of love and care.
