Blue is a 15-16 year-old grade (unregistered) gray mare standing approximately 15.2 hands and weighing around 1,200 pounds. I’ve owned her for about 1 year and am looking for the right home for this sweet mare.

Blue is sound, healthy, up to date on vaccinations, and shod on all four feet. She is easy to catch and has been ridden in just about every setting, including the arena and out on the trail. She has also been exposed to heading, although I have not personally roped off of her.

She stands tied, loads in a trailer, stands well for the farrier and vet, and handles all the everyday things you would expect. She has great ground manners overall, though she can get a little pushy at times and is somewhat buddy sour. She gets along well with other horses.

Under saddle, Blue is best suited for an experienced rider. She is very forward-moving, strong, high-headed, and enjoys having a job. She was previously started on barrels, but it wasn’t the right fit because she preferred to keep moving rather than settle into the pattern. She does not buck, rear, bolt, or have any dangerous habits.

Blue loves being turned out in a large pasture and would also make a nice broodmare prospect. She has a sweet personality and is looking for a home where her athleticism and willingness can be put to good use.
