"Discover the epitome of versatility with our Sporthorse prospect, sourced from Warm Springs, Oregon. This exceptional gelding possesses a captivating blend of beauty, intelligence, and a serene temperament. He came off BLM Land as a 1 yo, and went to live with a family i Oregon. He kept growing until he was too big for them, and I purchased him as a 3 yo. He has been living with me, doing ground work, in professional training, ever since. I am an eventer and bought him as an eventing prospect. My mother has been really sick and I would like him to get more attention and work in this early stage in his life. Now, at almost 6 years old, he stands poised to excel in various disciplines including eventing, trail riding, dressage, fox-hunting, or as a reliable camp companion. Having undergone foundational training with a dressage expert for 9 months starting at 4 years old, he now continues his journey under the guidance of seasoned professionals, honing his skills and confidence. He is super out on the trail--not hot, but just the right amount of spice. He rides well with other horses in any position and will lead or follow. Equipped with impressive abilities such as leg yields, seamless WTC transitions, and fluid lateral movements, he showcases both physical prowess and mental acuity. Whether in the hands of a professional or an amateur rider, he adapts effortlessly, making progress both in body and mind. He is a comfortable, manageable ride. With a striking stature, generous joints, and eye-catching markings, this gelding boasts a breathtakingly floaty trot, embodying the essence of elegance and athleticism. He just needs miles and time. He is only 5 years old and he has a short attention span. When he gets nervous, his flight response kicks in. He has had above and beyond routine maintinance: chiro, saddle fitter, cranio-sacrial massage. He stands for the vet and farrier, is well-behaved on the ground and a delight to be around. He has had regular vaccines, teeth floated. He does have sweet itch--because he lives in a pasture with a lake. We tried him i a stall--and although the sweet itch cleared up, he seemed happier out in the pasture. pictures and video can be seen at www.sherricoyote.com
