UPDATE: APRIL 2024. NCHA TX SHOW PEN UDATE END JUNE ‘23: Pecos has returned to Texas for his second time to continue his cutting career. The consensus is that this colt has the drive, pedigree and natural ability to do more than good in the upcoming futurity. This stud colt can do it all. He got off the trailer in TX, after being on it for 15 straight hours, like he owned the place. If you compete in cutting and you REALLY want to win, this stud colt and you could win all the money!! UPDATE MAY ‘23: Pecos & his herd out 24/7 in his pastures stumbled into a bear coming out of hibernation. He may of gotten between a mother bear and her cub and ended up getting tore up in his chest & lower neck areas. Our vet came and treated the areas and put him on R & R in the barn. He was in the barn for a month and healed up quicker than we thought possible. For your consideration, "Pecos" is a solid black stud colt with a magnificent disposition. He is 5th generation cow bred, with his sire being Once You Go Black. He has the pedigree to become anything cow you want him to be: Cutter, Working Cow Horse or Reiner. He has a superb mind, is smart & calm. He was weaned, halter broke & stood for the farrier late 2020. "Pecos" will make a super addition to your team. He was started by an owner/breeder/trainer that gives the youngster time to be a horse out in the pasture with other youngsters; then gives "Pecos" the opportunity to learn to be a responsible up and coming horse able to be started under saddle. Take a good look at "Pecos" to see if he would be a good fit with you and your program. He is expected to finish out around 14 hands. UPDATE 2022 PECOS has been in Texas on a working cattle ranch. He has wet saddle pads 6 days a week. 4 days a week he is learning the ropes doing everyday ranch work. 2 days a week he is on the mechanical cow and/or cow trac. PECOS is still a colt stud. UPDATE 2023 Pecos leaves for Texas along with Poncho, a pasture mate. Their destination is to a top working ranch to continue their cutting skills. Pecos is the spitting image of his sire and looks to continue to honor his pedigree. This colt has it all and will make you look like a superstar!!
