I have taken Knight off property on many occasions, and every time we are met with at least one “Oh my gosh, look at him!”. You truly cannot help but watch this stunning horse when he enters. He takes all the presence and honestly, he deserves it!
Under-saddle, Knight is remarkable. He really is one of the nicest horses I’ve ever sat on. There are not many horses I can say “anyone, any level can ride him” but Knight is one of them!
He has easy to achieve gaits, is adjustable, and SMOOTH. Knight responds to voice command, seat, and leg cues. He is soft in the mouth but incredibly forgiving to a beginner riders’ hands. I have put multiple different level riders on him, including a timid beginner, and he adjusts quickly to whoever is on his back. His headset is natural and automatic, and he will collect up or move out on the buckle happily. W/T/C both directions, he has ridden both English and western and is equally pleasurable in both disciplines. I’ve jumped him over small fences and he is a blast! Easy to a jump or a log with no rushing. He’s been unflappable with me, absolutely no funny business. He has no spook, buck, rear, or spin. He has a fantastic “Whoa” both in the rings or out on the trails. He will thrive in any discipline you desire!
Trail riding, we have ridden by ourselves on the trails and in larger groups. I’ve turned him away from the herd and trotted the opposite direction with no issues at all. Knight is as solid as they come on the trails, point his nose and he will go! Over bridges, through water, bushwhacking through dense woods, cantering in open fields, crossing busy roads, and over logs... He has done it all with me and has passed EVERY single test. He would make an incredible trail, fox hunting or hunter pace mount!
On the ground, Knight is a gentle giant. He is extremely patient and a total love bug. The first to meet you at the gate to say hello and the last nose to kiss when you leave, he thrives off of any and all kinds of attention. He will stand on the crossties, straight tied and to a trailer all day long. I’ve personally unloaded him off property, walked him into an unfamiliar barn and cross-tied him immediately to tack up. He acted like he had lived there forever! Knight is the easiest horse to load up and trailer, he’s loaded on a step up and a ramp with zero issues. He’s a total gentleman for his feet, and wears front shoes as we have been trail riding a lot! He has ZERO vices, no known soundness or health issues, and no maintenance.
