He has been owned by the same family since he was 3 years old, so he is well known, well cared for, and consistently handled throughout his life. He is well broken in both English and western, riding around soft, quiet, and willing with a smooth, enjoyable way of going in the arena or out on the trail.
This gelding is only being offered due to his 65-year-old owner suffering a broken back and no longer being able to ride. He has been a trusted partner for years, and it shows in everything about him—his steady mind, gentle nature, and dependable attitude. He is suitable for beginners, kids, and adults, and has the kind, forgiving personality that builds confidence in any rider.
He has excellent ground manners and is a pleasure to have in the barn. He ties, loads, bathes, clips, and stands quietly for the farrier without issue. He meets you at the gate ( especially when you have a peppermint), enjoys attention, and has a true “puppy dog” personality that makes him a barn favorite wherever he goes. He gets along well with other horses, is easy to catch, and is consistent and reliable in all situations.
Under saddle, he is just as trustworthy. He rides out alone with confidence, is traffic safe, and stays calm whether in new places or familiar surroundings. He does well in groups or on his own and is steady-minded on the trail. In the arena, he is broke in both English and western, making him versatile and enjoyable for casual riding, schooling, or relaxing rides.
