Latigo is fun to ride. He keeps his rider smiling ear to ear no matter what you’re doing. He is quiet outside on the trails and has safely packed our 4-year-old boy, Townes, to check mama cows, cross the river and rocky terrain, and even take a joy ride through town to the ice cream shop. We all adore this horse at our house. He is trained to curbside mount and is easy for any of us to jump on, even if it’s just with a string around his neck and headed out for a joy ride.
Latigo has the best personality — so kind and willing about everything. He will literally meet you at the gate and follow you around like a puppy dog no matter how much you asked of him the day before. This horse is a rarity. He doesn’t know the word “no,” and wouldn’t use it if he did. He adapts to every rider — young or old, novice to advanced showman. His ground manners are absolutely second to none. He’s safe for the littles to lead, brush, wash, and even help saddle. He is a gentleman to load, bathe, and stand tied with zero drama. He gets along perfectly with other horses and is the absolute picture of safety.

He has big stops, beautiful circles, a perfect slow down, nice rollbacks, stylish spins, effortless lead changes, and is one of the softest rides you’ll ever sit on. In the steer stopping he tracks well and has a huge stop. In the ranch trail he handles all obstacles with ease. For the ranch riding, he has a gorgeous extended trot, smooth transitions, and is simple to show and prepare.
