He stands 15.1 hands tall, is 5 years old and has the perfect conformation. Shine is bred and trained for reining. His grandsire, “Smart Shiner” is an NHRA earner of over $50,000. His pedigree goes back to “Shining Spark” which is an NHRA $4 Million dollar sire. Shine is stout and strong, athletic and agile. His demeanor and temperament are those you could only dream of that match his beauty and grace. He is exceptionally gentle and kind, so friendly and personable. Shine loves the attention and loves being around you. He is kind and respectful of your space on the ground, but will follow you like a puppy simply because he wants to be near you. He is the best of both worlds, a best friend and super talented quarter horse. His list of skills are impressive and he has quite the experience. From reining trailing, indoor and outdoor arena work, to being an expert on the trails, to a skillful ranch horse and a trick horse as well- Shine is the perfect all around mount! Shine will lope circles, taking the correct leads both ways. His one-step lope is as smooth and as slow as it comes. Shine will one-hand neck rein and he works off of leg pressure as well. He will also spin 360 degree circles and has a big stop! He has had 6 months professional reining training and it shows in his level of expertise. His breeding a pedigree prove that he is born with these skills. He is soft in the mouth and easy to ride. He’s quick and crisp on what he does but not so sensitive that a beginner type rider couldn’t ride him and get along. Shine is also a trick horse. At your command he will lay down either from the ground or while mounted. He will also sit up like a dog and side pass both ways. On the trail Shine is a safe and surefooted mount. Our entire family has enjoyed trail riding him. He will go up and down steep inclines, and over any type of terrain. From rocky rugged trails to sand to mud, he can handle it all. He is calm and collected in any situation and is a trusted ride anywhere you take him. He will ride alone or with a crowd, in the front or the back. Around the ranch Shine has been an extraordinary hand when it comes to catching, sorting and working cattle. He has even been used on a large scale cattle round up where he helped catch, sort and work a few hundred head of cattle over the course of a couple days. He has been pasture roped off of as well and we have consistently used him to
