Wellington is a flashy 4-year-old draft cross gelding standing a solid 16 hands tall. He is a wonderful blend of athleticism and quiet, gentle disposition, making him an enjoyable and versatile horse to have around. Wellington has been exposed to a variety of experiences including driving down the streets, trail riding, and popping over small fences, and he handles it all with a calm and willing attitude.
Wellington is extremely good-minded and eager to please. Show him something once and he quickly takes it in stride like a seasoned horse. He has a kind, personable nature and is a pleasure to work with. He is easy to catch, enjoys attention, and gets along well with other horses in the pasture.
Outside, Wellington truly shines. He is confident, sure-footed, and comfortable in a variety of environments. He rides out quietly alone or with a group and is happy to lead or follow. He has been exposed to wildlife and new surroundings and handles new situations with a steady, level-headed approach.
Under saddle, Wellington has a solid foundation. He has a nice neck rein, moves willingly off leg pressure, has a big stop, and will lope off easily with just a kiss. He is the same dependable horse every time you saddle him up and is straightforward and enjoyable to ride.
On the ground, Wellington has excellent manners. He stands quietly tied, is good to handle, good with his feet, and hauls well. He is up to date on all care, sound, and straight-legged.
