Serious Inquiries only, This is an honest listing. It’s not a fluffed up “Sales” post like everyone likes/wants. I will be very honest, and disclose everything.
TR Playin' 2007 AQHA gelding. He stands 15H and is pretty dark bay with just the right amount of chrome. Player is one hand broke, has a good stop, side passes, opens and closes gates. Player has sat for the last 2.5 years with only light riding in the arena. Player is a very sensitive/alert horse. He was sold to me as a kids horse. Although I have let my kids ride him in the arena I would not call him a kids horse. He needs at least an intermediate rider. He will need a refresher. He has the potential to be an excellent horse for someone. When I purchased Player, I was told he was an old ranch horse, branded, gathered cattle, carried a flag etc.
He is a kind horse, loves to be brushed and given attention. He has strong cutting lines on top and bottom of his pedigree (attached).
The bad. Unfortunately, I can’t say he has never bucked. He did buck someone off who was looking at him this last year. I can say that we had ridden him that day, and the weeks before with no issues. He had never offered to buck with us riding him. If I had thought, he would do that I would not have let my kids on him. I think the rider was giving him mixed cues he didn’t understand, and he got frustrated. He has since then been wary of people getting on him unfortunately. So he will need to be legged up by either you, or sent out. I don’t have the extra money to send him out to training before he goes.
He has been an easy keeper, gets along well with other horses, use to tractors, ATV’s, vehicles, dogs, farm animals etc. Loads, can stand tied all day, and he bathes. Good hooves, can go barefoot with no issues.
Like stated above, he has the potential to be an amazing horse for someone. We don’t ride consistently enough to justify keeping him, at this point he is a pretty pasture ornament we feed, brush, and ride occasionally. I paid a lot more for him, I am asking less than half of what I paid for him given he will need a refresher.
