**Please inquire for videos/photos -- I have an abundance of them** I am looking for a home for my beloved gelding. I would be looking for him to go where he can be a companion horse/pasture pet initially with the possibility of riding pending a veterinarian’s approval. I should note that he is completely sound at the walk so would be okay to hack around on. He is still very green though and would require a competent rider at this point who can handle baby brain moments. I would also consider a long term free lease situation if he remains somewhat local. He has lived out 24/7 and been stalled overnight and has been happy in both situations. Cody is not a low maintenance horse — he has some health issues that may or may not resolve completely with time (though they can be managed). He has hock arthritis (though one hock has fused and is asymptomatic) and immune-mediated keratitis in one of his eyes. He is very good for his eye ointment but will likely require some form of treatment long-term to keep him asymptomatic. I have had this horse since he was 2 years old and he was an absolute joy to start under saddle — he is smart and very level-headed for a kiddo his age. He has never bucked, bolted, or reared under saddle and has the loveliest puppy-dog personality. He would be free only to the perfect home. There is no listing price because I’d rather any of the money someone would spend on him to go to his care and wellbeing. For interested parties I will of course discuss all particulars about his health issues. I will let him go with his rain sheet, blanket, and cooler, and possibly his tack.
