Romeo is well started and a very correct gelding. He has a very forward walk under saddle and a curious, competitive and determined personality, one well suited to 75-100 mile endurance rides. However, he is very smart and can be lazy when it suits him/he needs to conserve energy. He trailer loads, cross ties, stands well for farrier and bathing. Romeo's sire Matkatamiba has tremendous vertical and longitudinal impulsion and hindend engagement (from Russian record holder Arpan), excellent conformation both sides pedigree, speed (acclaimed race horses Wiking and Russian Triple Crown Champion Topol & line to Semen - exceptional heart capacity), with a distaff line to the wonderfully trainable Varian horses. His half brother scored three top five endurance finishes this season and two best conditions. Sometimes will shy alone on trail still, so not a beginner's horse. Many other horses available as well.
