This is without doubt the most difficult sale I've ever made. Vinny (JC: Donivan My Boy) is a 2015 gelding - but actually a unicorn. He stands at 16.2 hands and is a thick boy. Vinny has all the potential in the world. Not only is he a phenomenal mover and athlete, he has the MOST try of any horse I've ever known. I took him to a dressage clinic this past spring, and it was only my third time riding him and his first time off our property. He was a complete angel. He loads, clips, bathes, etc. like an angel. Our saying around the house whenever we wonder if something will be difficult with him, we just shrug and say, "Well, it's Vinny." He is perfect to handle on the ground. The only time he might get a little spicy is when he's grazing to dry off after a bath. My 12 year old niece handles him every day. He is THE definition of in your pocket. He wants NOTHING more than to be with you. I have had health issues come up that prevent me from riding, and even though this is my absolute heart horse, wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I didn't get him somewhere he would reach his potential. He has had quite a bit of ground work (lunging, work in hand) and some basic dressage and small jumps. Vinny's only "blemish" is some a very slight arthritic change in one ankle. I have x-rays for those interested. The only days he has been lame have been the times he had some abscesses, but he hasn't had one in almost a year. Vinny transitioned to barefoot and in order to help him with thriving in that, we have him currently in glue-on shoes to let him grow a little more heel and sole. Someone who is willing to continue his barefoot journey would be given preference - he absolutely will be able to work barefoot with no issues after a few more cycles in the glue-ons. I'm asking mid-fours for this handsome boy, but I am negotiable to the perfect home. We are located in Dickson, TN.
