Takin Chances (Chance) is a 16 year old quarter horse X arabian gelding. he is registered under Takin Chances with AHA and pedigree is uploaded into allbreedpedigree. Chance has been my partner since 2016 and is NOT for sale, but is offered for lease.

This horse is my best friend and has taught me more than any other horse ever could have ! He has shown up to 3’6, but is happiest at 3’ and below.
This horse is an absolute winner in the jumper ring with the right rider at the right level, he could, however, also go in the hunter ring and he has also evented with me up to training level.
Chance is not a beginner horse, but has taught numerous beginner riders and advanced beginner riders.
He is very confident to jumps 3’ and below at shows, anything above that he tends to get a bit more nervous and backed off at shows, he is best suited for someone doing up to 2’6 hunters, .95m jumper classes, or up to novice eventing, he has also foxhunted and hacks out alone or with a group without a problem.
At home, he does not have any limitations, I have jumped him 5’, and also 4’ courses and he has had no problem with that (i’d say 4’-3’9 max at home)
Only reason I am putting him up for lease is because i would like to carry on in my own riding career and keep moving up, however, given he has communicated with me that he is not comfortable with moving up from where he is now I find it to be the fairest thing to give an opportunity to a younger rider who wants to grow in their riding and he would be the perfect fit for a kid moving from pony to horse.
Chance is only 15hh, but has a big step and can get the horse distances without feeling too fast or too big.
His father was premium arabian stallion and Chance is able to do money classes in arabian breed shows if that is of any interest. He has gone with me all over the east coast. He is a very good boy with a big heart and really loves to please, he loves to be loved ! he has basic maintenance for a show horse, but is really only needed when doing 3’ and up so would be up to you whether or not to spend that money.
