Rhett Butler is a 5-year-old, 16h, bay, Friesian/Standardbred cross gelding with lovely movement and a quiet temperament. Rhett has been trail riding at the Cherokee National Forest, climbing stairs, crossing creeks, climbing banks, and going over logs without batting an eye. At home, he has been out on the trail alone and exposed to cows and cars, and is a brave and steady guy. Rhett is also an accomplished driving horse and is traffic-safe. Driving Video: https://youtu.be/dcYp72yc7Tw?si=PSpjXv4Gjb_brGOl He rides in a snaffle on a loose rein, and would probably be an excellent fit for a husband's horse, family, or with some more polishing a dressage prospect! He is a beautiful mover, and very willing so the sky is the limit with this boy! Rhett was started in harness and under saddle as a 3-year-old, he was used as a family's personal driving horse for the last year, and I have put him back under saddle this spring. He went back to work without a hitch but is still finding his balance, learning to collect, and building strength. He is UTD on his shots, Coggins, and farrier work. He is very respectful and well-behaved on the ground. He has been well exposed to children and dogs and gets along well in the pasture with other mares and geldings. He comes when he is called and enjoys being groomed. If you would like to finish a horse in your choice of discipline, this one will be super easy, he loves to learn, is quiet and respectful, doesn't get flustered about new things, and tries hard to please. You can take him trail riding now, polish him over the summer, and hit the shows this fall!
