Rey is as sweet as they come with a willingness and a "try" that is unmatched. She comes from the Warms Springs Reservation and has been trained with natural horsemanship methods for the past 2 1/2 years. She has completed a 30 day refresh of training, but does not have a lot of miles on her. Rey is still a green horse and is unpredictable in the way that green horses are. Rey has gone over poles, plays with tarps, and has jumped barrels. Rey has been around cats, dogs, goats, chickens, kids of all ages, quads, vehicles, lawn mowers, bicycles, umbrellas, and is pretty much un-phased. She stands well for the farrier and has been blanketed during winters with no problems. She lunges well at W/T/C. She has been saddled and rode at W/T/C (video available upon request) in an arena setting. Rey can load, but is a little suspicious of trailers the first couple of times. She has loaded into a slant as well as a straight trailer. She is UTD on vax and had her teeth floated 2/2024 with no adverse effects/reactions. She is an easy keeper and seems to have no vices that we have found thus far. The reason for selling this amazing little mare is two-fold. One is her size. She is small. 13.2-13.3. I am 5'10". She also LOVES to run. I wouldn't say she has more go-than-whoa...she is learning control and with time will do whatever is asked of her. But you can tell her heart opens up when she runs. And I am not that person. Rey is going to be a wonderful, solid, and trustworthy mare. She would do best with an experienced rider with a gentle hand. Rey likes to be silly and loves to have her lip rubbed. She needs someone who will put the time to finish her out properly, give her a job where she can move, and love her to pieces along the way.
