Respectable ground manners, easy to lunge and longline, stands to be mounted, ties and hauls well. Teeth and gelding done in February 2024. Currently fully shod.
Desplante was imported from Spain as a 3 year old and started in the USA. He has 3 rideable, uphill and elegant gaits. Balanced halt and rein back.

Desplante hauls off property multiple times a week to different indoor/outdoor arenas and trails. He remains responsive and willing no matter the environment. Desplante is confident around farm animals including livestock, farm equipment and more.

Consistent in the bridle and off the leg, he is not a hot ride. Flexible with rider ability and has taken care of some super beginner riders. Schooling first level and he has walk to canter transitions.

Desplante has an adorable and funny personality. He loves to explore his surroundings and truly enjoys company, snacks and pets. Desplante has been used for lessons with youth and adult AA riders to which he adjusted very well. No buck, rear, bolt or bite. He is middle of the herd dynamic and has lived in with many different mares & geldings.
