Retired from racing at the age of 5 years, "Socks" has since been carefully and consistently developed in her flatwork. She not only shows solid walk/canter transitions but also preforms advanced movements, including half-pass at both trot and canter. Socks is intelligent and eager to learn, which makes her a joy to train. She thrives on positive reinforcement and will bond deeply with her rider. Socks has been trained to do liberty lunging and riding without a bridal and is very responsive to seat and leg aids. Her friendly and curious nature means she's always interested in what you're doing and a quick learner. In the herd, she is low in the pecking order and generally gets along well with other horses. She does best turned out in a small group of mares, as mixed herds with geldings can be stressful for her. “Socks” loves her treats – especially carrots and bananas! She tends to do well in new environments, as she quickly settles with a calm and confident hand. "Socks" has taught us so much, and now it's time for her to find a rider who can continue to develop her impressive talents in dressage. She is not suitable for a beginner. Located in Streetsboro, Ohio. Asking $15,000, or best offer, to the perfect home. Don't miss out on this incredible mare! Serious inquiries only.
