For sale is my 4 y/o grade quarter horse stallion, Bobby. Bobby was foaled April 30th, 2021 out of a quarter horse breeder near Missoula. I brought him home to Kalispell just after he was weened off his dam at 6 months old and have raised and trained him myself. Bobby is broke to ride and is not afraid to go out on the trail alone. For a stud he is very well tempered and has never offered to buck for me. He is brave, has a good head, kind eye and gentle disposition, a great back and wither shape, good hard feet, has excellent conformation, and is just a handsome horse all around. He is easy to catch, stands still while grooming and saddling, is good with his feet and stands well for the farrier, and will carry you down the trail at any gait. Overall he is an excellent horse who shows much promise for any western riding discipline. It should go without saying that being a 4 year old stallion he requires an experienced and confident rider who is willing to put in the ground work to establish the rapport that I have with him in order to gain his trust and respect. Bobby’s only drawback is that he is a cryptorchid. I tried to have him cut at my local vet clinic at age two and they were unable to find the cryptorchid testicle during the open castration procedure. That is when the vet referred me to a University in Washington who could perform a laparoscopic surgery to find and remove the cryptorchid testicle. After calling them for a quote on how much the surgery would cost I decided that it was out of my budget for the procedure. That is why he is an unregistered grade quarter horse and also why I am looking to sell him. Anyone who would be willing to pay for the procedure or find another means to have him cut would have an incredible quarter horse gelding that could be registered with amazing prospects for any discipline, but that person just isn’t me. I’m getting married soon and having my own horse or paying for such a procedure is pretty low on my priority list at the moment. Bobby is an incredible horse who is smart and gentle, and as the one who raised him from 6 months old it should go without saying that I love him very much and am sad to part ways with him. I want him to go to a good home and while I would like to get him sold I am by no means pressed to do so. I will not sell him to just anyone and I certainly don’t plan on giving him away for less than he’s worth but am willing to negotiate on price within reason.
