Meet Grace! She is a very sweet & kind mare who loves attention. We’ve been quietly putting in the work: developing a solid foundation, riding between the reins, creating a meaningful relationship to the bit as well as with my seat & leg cues, all while exposing her to new locations & situations to develop a well rounded partner. Grace is a forward, responsive, and athletic horse - best suited for an experienced rider with an independent seat who appreciates a horse with try and feel. Someone who can calmly give her confidence and direction if needed. She shines out on the trail. Moves out willingly -crossing water, stepping over logs, navigating hills & uneven ground. I’ve loaded her up & taken her out solo or with others, & she’s proven to be an honest, enjoyable ride. She’s the one I’d pick every time when I want to go out and enjoy the ride. I’ve also been hauling her to local shows for exposure, & my favorite trips lately have been to the roping practice pen. We’ve been tracking cattle out of the chute, helping pull ropes, working gates, pushing cattle down the alley, and scoring in the box. She’s really starting to enjoy the work, she LOVES bossing the cattle around. This mare has the potential to go in a number of directions - a quick few that easily come to my mind: trail, versatility, ranch work, or even cowboy dressage. She’s sound, sane, & has a strong work ethic. She’s ready to keep progressing with someone who’ll gladly meet her where she’s at - whether you’re looking for a reliable using horse or one to bring along and polish for the show pen. As always, the right home matters most. If Grace sounds like she could be the one you’ve been searching for, send me a detailed message. Tell me a bit about yourself, your experience, what you’re looking for, & the kind of home you offer. Grace is a good one, and we’re aiming to keep her that way. Video available upon request.
