Groton St Scout, “Scout” is an 11 year old dark brown OTTB mare. Scout retired with clean legs and no injuries. She is a ‘warhorse’ tomboy big-bodied athletic girl. 16HH. Scout is good on the trails, she has been ridden at numerous places including Valley Forge, Fair Hill, Marsh Creek, Springton Manor, the Laurels, and done a few pace events. She is not spooky. Leads or follows on the trail. She has even gone swimming. Nice comfortable gaits, really nice trot. Solid basics. Started over jumps. Gets along with mares or geldings. Ties, loads, stands for farrier, etc. No bite or kick, no vices. Easy keeper. Front shoes. Great personality, friendly and attention-seeking. Scout is smart and bonds closely with her people. Currently turned out 24/7. We don’t have the time to ride her and she’s too nice to be a pasture puff. Scout is currently in training and progressing nicely. Price will increase with training.
