Brinhyar (BRIN) - 18 hh, approx 13-14 year old grey Shire gelding. Located in Kennewick (Finley), WA. Asking low $xx,xxx but best home is most important. After much thought and consideration, it is time for this sweet boy to find his person. He would do best with an experienced, confident but kind and gentle person to help him through some of his doubts. Preferably someone with draft experience, as his size can be intimidating if you're not used to it. He is not dangerous, no bolt, buck or rear. Just freezes and/or slowly turns away from the 'scary' thing. However he is doing better with this. He is amazing with his feet. Easily trimmed, no stocks or sedatives needed. Currently barefoot. Great for the vet, he is a fan favorite. Doesn't love getting in the trailer, but with a bit of convincing he will load and does well once inside. I do not have a trailer so that is the only reason we have not worked through it 100%. Does well with other horses both mares and geldings, cows, chickens, goats and dogs. Good for baths. Easy keeper. Not current on vaccines due to him not being around other horses recently, besides my own. Last float was just over a year ago. Has a fatty tumor on his chest, has been checked out by the vet multiple times, no concerns, just cosmetic. Has some arthritis in his hind right fetlock, I have the X-rays. With consistent movement and pasture turn out, it helps. PPE welcome at buyers expense. Recently had an episode with scratches so his hind feathers were trimmed (did great with the clippers and all doctoring that was needed). But this is the first time since owning him (6 years) that I have ever had an issue with his feathering (an unfortunate mix of circumstances made it possible). He has been used as a Holiday Horse for photos with kids and teens, the past few years. Loves attention and snacks. Fun horse to let people ride around the pasture on, or in a familiar to him areas. Before me, he was used as a carriage horse on a private property but I have not used him for that, so I cannot speak on how well he does. He is broke to ride but nothing fancy. More whoa than go. Prefers walk/trot, but will canter. Has a bit, bridle and reins that fit him that can be included. I also have a 16" Big Horn saddle that I just bought that seems to fit as well (not pictured). I WILL ask for references. He means a lot to me and this decision did not come lightly. I have no problem waiting to find the right fit for him. I know with the right person, he would just thrive and live up to his full potential. Please reach out to me with any questions and thank you for reading!
