Sonny is a safe, kind, and cute 6-year-old registered Connemara gelding standing around 14.2 hh (needs to be measured to confirm if large pony or small horse)) with a textbook conformation. He is out of 2 premium stallions**. He was brought up properly and at age 3, could walk, trot, canter, do his lead changes, and was jumping small cross rails. At Win Green he went thru water and over logs with ease. Since then his training has progressed with his owner, a competent equestrian. At age 4 and 5 yrs, Sonny was taking 12 year olds who leased him around our arena at walk , trot, and canter, He was always well behaved, about bombproof, whether in the arena, alone on trails, or at a show grounds, He is very brave when faced with anything new or challenging. For most of the past year, he was on a care lease at a local farm and he was ridden by a 12 to 13 year old and her 6 to 7 year old younger sister. He has been to local hunter shows, fox hunting, and did Pony club-like activities. He has great ground manners whether loading, washing or trimming, and he loves to be groomed. He is easy to clip and even stood still while 5 different hearts were clipped on his hind end! Smaller riders can lead him and ride him, but he is also round enough to take up the leg of a 5’6 adult! Sonny is an easy keeper and we kept him barefoot. We believe Sonny is one of the best ponies around and would do well as a hunter, fox-hunter, or try a bit of eventing.
