Cat was purchased to be my daughter\'s first horse, she has done her job very well! She is an absolute saint and worth her weight in gold. She has $6,300+ NCHA earnings so she is a finished cutting mare, at the amateur level she has done well at patterned speed events, western pleasure, showmanship, roping, trail. She has been great for a beginner rider to learn and would continue to be great for youth 4-h, youth rodeo, lessons, trail horse, someone looking to ride casually or anyone wanting to learn cutting. She was in foal when I bought her and was very lightly ridden for the first little bit, she foaled out perfectly and was a great mom, didn't mind us loving on baby but also kept close tabs on her. No mare-ish nonsense at all ever. We started riding her again at about 3 months after foaling and just let the weanling run in the arena with us again cat was perfect. eventually we weaned the foal and used cat for some cutting lessons and beginner lessons. She does great in every environment we have put her in. She was most recently used for some lessons in June and then sat until mid sept, we pulled her outta the field and she went straight back to work like she never took a day off. She has had at least 2 foals I am aware of, previous owner did ICSI on her and ended up with 5 viable embryos, I believe at this point all of the foals from the cycle are either on the ground or in utero, a couple of them sold out of country. Cat requires virtually no maintenance, the only exception is when she was being used in cutting lessons we did inject her last vertebrae at the tail bone as she has very slight arthritis. It was about 10 months before she presented stiff again so I would say 1-2 times a year if being used seriously. Otherwise she is fine out in a field with a round bale and quality orchard grass fed 1X daily. The only reason Cat is for sale is because we need to slim the herd and we have her yearling posted but she has not sold yet, if she sells we will absolutely keep Cat, If cat sells first we will be over the moon to have her filly sent off to training and keep her. Could be open to trade or partial trade, always looking at Tractors Duramaxs Dodges skid steer Dump Trailers Hay Fencing Golf cart Side by Side And anything else cool as long as you don't mention a ford truck to me.
