Kili is a proven stallion with a sweet and loving disposition. He stands well for the farrier, no problems with bathing or flyspraying, takes dewormer with no difficulty at all, and is handled on a regular basis. He is a typical stallion in the sense that he's very fond of keeping an eye on his herd, but is not difficult to handle around a mare. He has even let mares boss him around when placed in pasture together. Kili's also one of the few Kerry Bogs with the leopard complex gene (producing the varnish roan color) and has passed it onto at least one foal so far. The foals we\'ve had from him are all friendly, smart, curious, and willing to please. Due to medical reasons in the family, we are making the difficult decision to downsize our herd. We would really love to see Kili go to a breeding home, preferably one who'd be interested in helping preserve this critically endangered breed (only 600 Kerry Bogs exist worldwide). So now's your chance to have an opportunity to own a rare pony with unique coloring, great conformation, and a friendly disposition! We also have a Kerry Bog mare for sale that we'd be willing to sell with him as a packaged deal if interested.
