“Arley” is a 2 year old Quarter Horse/Haflinger cross out of a Blue Valentine/Shining Spark stud (HD Quixotes Rhythem) and a very nice Haflinger mare. She is an exceptionally nice filly that needs an EXPIERENCED person or someone with a GOOD trainer to take her to the next level. Currently standing around 14.1 or 14.2 and growing every day, Arley is sound, sane, healthy and ready to take on the world. I will not be sad if this filly sticks around for a while. rn rnThis little horse is not only nice to look at, she’s also a pleasure to be around. She is physically and mentally mature for her age and takes new experiences in stride. She has extensive groundwork under her belt and is lightly started under saddle walk, trot, lope—although she can be a little lazy about picking up a lope. She has been ridden outside and has been exposed to working cattle. She has had a rope swung off her but hasn’t been roped off of. Arley has also been ponied in the mountains and off a quad and stands tied although she has been known to paw a little. Loading and trailering, no problem. Has been through some gnarly creek crossings behind another horse and did great. We took her to a ranch roping a couple weeks ago and she got exposed to being ridden around a bunch of other horses with people yelling and cattle running around and she held it together the whole time. Arley is currently being ridden in a hackamore. She has been ridden out alone around the ranch at a walk and is very brave. All that being said she is still GREEN and needs someone who can continue her education in a productive way.rn rnBesides an instance when I spooked her during one of her early rides, she has not offered to buck and has never offered to rear. She is still 2 and does need someone with good boundaries or she might try to get away with a nibble. She picks up her feet well and has been trimmed but not shod. Her wolf teeth have been removed, first dental done, first vaccinations done and dewormed. She does have a small umbilical hernia but the vet says it is not a concern and is just cosmetic. She also has a loose patella on her left hind. The vet has looked at that as well and wasn’t concerned. PPE are welcome at buyer’s expense. I will be picky where she goes. I want her to succeed.
