Hidalgo is one of the coolest horses, with tons of athleticism, an extremely willing temperament, and experience doing a variety of things! His smaller size, yet thick build, makes him fit multiple riders and his lofty movement means he feels like one of the big guys and not like a pony. He has one of the BEST canters, with amazing natural balance and is supple through his body, both longitudinally and laterally. Hidalgo spent most of his life as a trail/western horse, before trying his hand at Dressage and Eventing this year, and has been killing it! He is insanely brave, willing to jump anything with scope to spare! His naturally balanced gaits make him an excellent contender for excelling in Dressage as well. Hidalgo has his own motor and thrives best with a rider experienced enough to ‘ask him harder questions’, though he is very safe and has even toted around some confident beginners. He placed 3rd in his first Starter event this summer, and also attended some eventing clinics, where he was the star of the show. He has been and will continue to be in a professional program until sold, during which he is ridden by multiple riders (including a competent 11 yr old) and taken for off property experiences. Western, trails, western dressage, working equitation, field hunting, eventing, dressage, jumpers, you name it! This guy has the potential to do just about anything with the right rider!
