This 2022 AQHA buckskin filly is exceptionally beautiful because of her rich iridescent golden coat. Peppermint’s legs, mane, and tail are more of a chocolate than true black, making her an eye-catching standout wherever she goes. She gets this added color dimension from her dam, a gorgeous green-eyed cremello reining mare. Peppermint also has the breeding to compliment her physical beauty. Her sire is heavily influenced by Peptoboonsmall with some foundation Driftwood and Hancock breeding; her dam’s sire goes back to Freckles Playboy and to Doc Tari. This filly is bred to do things, and she already has shown us some special moves. We have been riding her a while now and she stands quietly for saddling. She rides off quietly and stops on a dime without raising her head. She has a good smooth lope, easy jog trot, and she neck reins. My 9-year old granddaughter rides her regularly. I do not think Peppermint has a mean bone in her body and the kids have been riding her since she turned 2. She is a breeze to catch, halter, lead, load, wash, groom, trim, saddle, bridle, etc. We have saddled her and tied her up so she can watch rodeo practice in the arena for hours at a time. This filly has been handled a whole lot, and she has got the basics down cold. She has a willing attitude; she is always friendly and curious, but never a pest. The fun part starts now, as she is ready to learn a job, she is smart and catches on quickly. We played with her, kept her calm, and made sure she was comfortable with the process and equipment for riding, taking a short trail ride with the older horses. It is time for her to progress—whether for us or for you. Do not miss this opportunity to have a rare treasure in your barn!
