Ollie is a 14yr old Gypsy Vanner gelding. He is good on ground, lunges well with voice commands, loads, good for farrier.
He is unfortunately mostly blind in his left eye due to a cataract and he requires dietary management for Metobolic syndrome (dry lot or possibly a limited grass turn out). It is well controlled with diet. Hooves are good, no laminitis.
He has had bloodwork. Teeth were floated this summer.
He is broke to ride and possibly was broke to drive when younger. He sat for ~5 years before we got him. We had him with a trainer for a tune up/restart under saddle this spring but he is a bit green. He does well in an arena/familiar space(tends toward the lazy side) but gets reactive when ridden outside. Needs a confident rider.
He’s a sweet guy but he is not fitting in with the needs of our family and I would love to find him “his person”.
