“Dear Old Dad” AKA Pops i s a 2014 OTTB gelding that is ready to go for this upcoming show season! This athletic and talented jumper will be clean fast and honest in the show jumping (1m and Below) scene as well as Novice and below eventing!

While he’s honest, he’s sensitive and not suited for a beginner. We need to repeat that-- Pops is not suitable for Beginner riders. This being said, he is solid and honest cross-country (+LOVES water--we call him the baby shark). He’s been ridden tackless, bareback, and bridleless as well as on trails. Given his OTTB sensitivity, he's best suited for someone that is equally as aspirational and skilled but able to sit and channel Pops' energy and at times quirkness.

Pops has been in a consistent program with a young rider for 2 years and is ready to compete. He’s currently jumping 2’6-2’9 consistently and has previously competed Beginner Novice (2'7"), Novice (2’11) and has schooled training (3’3).

Only being sold due to an unexpected opportunity for his owners that is too good to not pursue.(Deliberately priced to fulfill this unique opportunity) Otherwise, Pops and his young rider would be competing Beginner Novice- Eventing (2’6) this season with plans to move up to Novice - Eventing.

He is a sensitive quirky guy but will excel with a confident rider.
He requires some routine maintenance and is priced accordingly.
