Feather is a 14.2-hand, 5-year-old, grade mare. This mare is smart, sound, and stunning. She has the foundation and the ability to go in any direction. Feather will move off your leg, neck reins, backs up softly, loads right up in any trailer, stands tied, and is generally a low horse in the pecking order. She can even be ridden safely down the road bridleless. She always picks up her correct lead under saddle and is very easy to lunge. Feather stands still for tacking up and mounting. She has been ridden in and out of the arena. She will go over just about any obstacle, crosses water with ease, and is very surefooted on all terrian. My favorite thing about this mare is that just about anyone can ride her; she is safe and willing. However, she is not a pokey horse; she can have some get-up-and-go when asked. She has been ridden in English and Western. We have started her on the barrel pattern and even taken her over a couple of jumps. This mare is always up for whatever the day brings. Feather is generally an easy keeper; she gets aflfla twice a day with no maintenance or extra grain needed. She is not currently shod, has always been sound, and she had her teeth floated in February 2026.
