Meet Zeus 🖤 A striking 18h draft cross with the kind of personality that makes you look forward to coming to the barn. He’s big, but surprisingly athletic and balanced, much more of a warmblood feel than a typical draft cross. He’s got a great brain and is super fun to be around.

Zeus has spent the last year and a half living his best dressage life with his adult Ammy leaser. He’s currently schooling First Level with plenty of room to keep progressing. He knows the basic lateral work including shoulder-in, haunches-in, leg yields, and more. He’s a forward ride and very responsive to your aids, so while he is very forgiving and safe, he is not suitable for beginners as he’s a large and powerful horse.

While Zeus has recently focused on dressage, he has jumped in the past and thinks it is quite fun! Due to his athletic nature, he is well suited to go in a variety of directions.

Zeus is best suited for a confident rider who is soft and tactful with their aids and enjoys developing a horse and building a partnership. He does best with a thoughtful rider who values feel, consistency, and partnership over just miles in the saddle. He truly thrives with someone who will not only ride him but also spend time loving on him. His ideal routine includes a balanced mix of ring work, hacking, and downtime. Zeus enjoys having a consistent job, but appreciates time to decompress, get groomed, and just hang out with his person. Because of that, he would not be best suited for a rigorous full-time training program.

Zeus is located at a wonderful facility in Georgetown with all the amenities - indoor, outdoor, and trails. He loves hacking out and getting out of the arena just as much as he enjoys working.
Lease is mid 750/month (slightly negotiable for the right long-term fit) and includes trims and 3–4 rides per week. Lessons with an approved trainer may be required depending on rider experience to ensure Zeus continues progressing correctly.

I would also consider a possible sale to the perfect long-term home. He is very special and means the world to me, so it would have to be the right situation.
