Shay is a beautiful 15-year old Azteca fleabitten grey mare standing 15 hands with a sweet personality and plenty of athletic ability. She has a kind temperament and is not mareish, making her enjoyable to handle and be around.
Shay has mostly been ridden western and was previously used as a barrel racing horse, giving her plenty of energy and a forward way of going. While she has the athletic background, she would now be best suited as a pleasure or trail horse with a rider who enjoys a horse with some go and personality.
On the ground, Shay has great manners. She ties, loads, and stands quietly for the farrier, grooming, being tied, and mounting. She is barefoot, an easy keeper, and has no known vices.
She gets along well with other horses, dogs, and barn animals, and overall has a great disposition. Because of her energy level, she would do best with a more experienced rider who appreciates a responsive and forward horse.
