Typhon is out of the warhorse mare, Cholla, who was selected as my foundational broodmare for her tenacious athleticism and longevity in racing. Mountain Fields Ironman proved to be her perfect complement providing a solid temperament and a bit of extra substance and flash that makes Typhon a phenomenal sport prospect. Typhon last measured around 14h in early January (although he seems bigger every day); he string tested to 16.2h as a foal. He has substantial bone and will develop into a horse capable of carrying a rider of height well. While he was bred with eventing goals in mind, I could see him doing equally well in a dressage-focused program or even hunters. His personality lends itself to being an adult amateur friendly prospect for the rider looking to grow their own, or he could be a fun prospect for the trainer looking for their next upper level prospect with a solid brain. Typhon is a thinker. He is sensitive without being reactive. Every new experience he has demonstrates how trainable he really is as you can see him actively sorting things out. Gelded early March, Typhon is ready to embark on his future. This young man will stun in the ring in hand until he is ready to be started under saddle. He has been lunged, tied, is easy for vet/farrier, and has been around my 10yo kiddo.
