Please Read Full Ad... Rosie is a big girl! Standing at a healthy 16.2 hands and 1300#. I had originally purchased her for my 11 year old daughter to be her all around horse. She's done a few gaming shows and open shows on her and decided they are not a great match. I trust Rosie to take care of most levels or riders AT HOME. Bareback, english and western. My 5-6 year old daughter handles her on the daily (turnout and in). Rosie is absolutely broke under saddle and is so much fun. She has gorgeous movement that is smooth to ride and extremely eye catching. We constantly receive complements on how she moves and looks. In her previous home Rosie was a 2/3D barrel horse. We have stats to prove this. She is automatic on them and doesn't need a lot of practice. When at practice she will go as fast as the rider asks. Defiantly a push style runner. An intermediate plus rider is needed at barrel races. She can get excited and need a confident rider to keep her anxiety at bay. She never refuses the gate and will go in every time. Is well started on poles as well. I think Rosie would excel in the show pen as well. This mare is Broke and has buttons! My daughter has taken her to a couple open shows and has done really well considering they don't jive well together. My Daughter likes a dead head and Rosie is not that. Rosie needs a boss she can also get very nervous. She is a higher energy horse. I think a confident teen or adult would flourish with her. I will NOT sell her to a novice or beginner home. This mare is awesome and deserves to be used to her full potential. Another situation I think would work for this mare would be a lesson program. When she is settled into a place or is hauled to a location often she is a gem. Intermediate to advanced students for sure, possibly beginners with proper instruction. Rosie trail rides really well. My kids and I have all taken her on many rides. She doesn't love water but crosses bridges and obstacles well. Doesn't get nervous when hauled to trails like she does shows. Rosie has pulled back a few times with us. We keep her on a blocker and don't really think much of it now. She has always been sound for us. Just has front shoes, barefoot in hind. Due to her high energy we keep her on an ulcer preventative (OUTLAST). Has had one foal. Foal is currently running barrels and doing really well. -An ideal home would be... a confident advanced rider looking for an all-around mount. One willing to work through her show anxiety and build her confidence. -A lesson program where she doesn't need to show. -Someone intermediate to advanced, who wants to run barrels and have a consistent 2/3d run.
