10 year old 15h APHA registered buckskin paint gelding who wants to be an arena princess. His life goals are to pop over a jump course and do flat work-not a finished jumper but a point and shoot kind of guy. Not spooky around arena things-tarps, pools, etc. Will go on a trail ride if other experienced horses do, but it’s not his cup of tea. Crosses water, swims a bit. He’s pretty soft and supple in the arena. I usually ride bareback in a halter and jump whatever’s out and canter around.
All health care has been kept up to date. He’s had his teeth floated, vaccines, and a coggins every year of his life since 4 years old. He was barefoot when used for arena work, but I’ve had him shod on all 4 for the past 5 years since he’s been on rocky trails.
Quirks: He is a reformed biter so I always keep it in the back of my mind. Has had fecal water syndrome when he was on courser hay (nothing severe. did not affect his health). Very nervous when he gets to a new barn. I will pay for a month of FREE BOARD if you let him stay where he’s at while you’re bonding and learning each about each other.
Stands in crossties, clips, deworms, and bathes easily. He does not crib, weave, have any food aggression, etc. Not barn or buddy sour. Not girthy. Drops his head to take the bit. He’s not bothered by dogs or tractors. Was in a mixed herd. Stands to be mounted and will move over to the mounting block to pick you up.
