Lady Anne McCurdy is a 2022, bay, 15.1 hand, registered Tennessee Walking Horse mare. She is also eligible for foundation registration with the McCurdy Plantation Horse Registry. Her pedigree is star studded and includes McCurdy’s Roan Lightning and Stuntman’s Bleau Majic, horses known for producing fantastic minded trail horses. She has been thoughtfully raised her whole life and well loved. She was lightly started undersaddle at three, turned out to absorb the training, and just recently has been tuned up. Annie is sweet in the barn and likes people. She is good for the vet & farrier, ties, bathes, fly sprays, loads, ect. As a young horse she is still learning some patience and will fidget while tied, but is improving each day. Annie is very smart and will test a new rider’s seriousness about tasks but is easily redirected. She has never bucked or reared. Trail riding is Annie’s favorite thing, she’s eager to see the trails! While she is young and needs more mileage she’s had a great foundation, done short solo rides, and ridden in groups. She is not in a hurry to be the leader, but is happy to move out when asked. At her age our priority has been developing her strength in gait, so she needs more mileage in the canter. She’s recently begun trail riding on mountain trails and is loving the adventure! Annie is up to date on vaccinations, deworming, dentals and is currently wearing four shoes (happily barefoot before moving to our barn). Annie would do best with a rider confident in helping her build onto her great foundation.
