15.3 gray 14 year old OTTB gelding warhorse who was successful on the track and retired sound in 2018. Has schooled up through 2nd level dressage with amateur, and evented elementary with a professional. Amateur rider took him to CT and won. He’s still green over fences.
He loves being in a professional program with routines and structure. He’s turned out 24/7 because of owner’s budget but he loves a stall and a busy barn. He’s very easy to live with.
He loves a rider who is confident and tells him what to do. A scrappy teen or small adult in a professional program will be successful with him.
Sterling has immune mediated keratitis which has been monitored by New Bolton and is under control with Zyrtec and daily ointments. He also has mild kissing spine, which doesn’t require any maintenance beyond strengthening his top line.
This summer Sterling is slated to continue his eventing career with an amateur rider, and will continue training until rehomed.
