Scotch has a puppy dog personality, he is so sweet. Comes right up to you in the field, loves scratches and human contact. A real people pleasing kind of boy. Gentle on the ground, the kids can lead him around. Grooms and tacks perfectly, picks up all his feet, currently barefoot. Scotch goes English, Western, jumps and trailrides alone or with others. Hop right on in a halter and w/t down the trail. Safe for everyone. Would make an excellent addition to a therapy program or family looking for a sane, safe riding companion. In the ring solid w/t/c, knows both his leads and will jump. He’s a push ride, has extremely good breaks, you sit back and say woah, he is coming to a stop. Takes a jump bravely with good scope. Rides in a simple snaffle. Lunges, clips, sprays, bathes, cross-ties, loads and travels well, stands at the mounting block. Scotch is fine turned out or stalled. No testing fences or cribbing. Is turned out in a mixed herd, lower in herd hierarchy. Trailrides alone or with others, no spook, buck or bolt. Exposed to farm animals, vehicles, dogs and wildlife. Brave and confident under saddle. Good for vet and farrier. No known health issues or maintenance.
