Very healthy, easy keeper, and absolutely sound.
She leads, ties, loads in the trailer, stands for saddling and bridling, picks up her feet, and is good for the farrier. She camps overnight with highline and is desensitized to gunshots, dogs, and other things.
She rides with a soft mouth at the walk and trot. She needs training at the canter.
Not spooky. If she's afraid, she generally just stops. No buck or bolt.
Sensitive and responsive to cues; needs someone more experienced to teach her the finer points.
On the trail, she prefers to lead out with other horses. She has a tendency to "stall out" and stop when alone.
She can be head shy/fearful of restraint.
She does not stand well for mounting, but will with patience.
The two previous points led to an incident and as a result, she must go to an experienced horseman only. Happy to discuss this further.
We are selling because she is just not a good fit for my husband. This mare would like her person to be sensitive and experienced - a person who's in-tune and understands things like the curry comb feeling too sharp sometimes. She wants a true partner who is willing to help her build more confidence out on the trails or who enjoys perfecting arena work. She's a beautiful, sensitive horse, and she will be an amazing partner for the right person.
