Sapphire is an attractive horse with a smart inquisitive temperament. At 4 yrs, he qualifies as green, but moving right along in his training. The gelding has been under saddle for two years now but has maintained a "light" schooling program. Meaning he's only getting out twice a week but consistently over the last two year. With both the 1/2 Oldenburg lineage and 1/8 draft, he's proving to be a slow growing horse and still looks a bit juvenile. He is also 1/4 Qtr Horse, and 1/8 TB. Over working this agreeable gelding, I believe, is not a good idea. However, he does at this time, school all 3 gaits, working on basic shapes and poles. Essentially he's ready to begin his career. He is a prospect for many disciplines: English or Western pleasure, hunter/jumper, eventing, dressage, field hunter, and an amateur horse but not there yet. This gelding will easily become a forever, favorite horse for someone. Because he is green, I'm not recommending the gelding for a novice/amateur rider. instead he will work best with a rider who is experienced with green horses or a good amateur rider who works with a trainer. I will add photos and videos as they become available.
