Attractive 2018 KWPN-DHH 16-hand bay gelding with quality movement, an expressive confirmed flying change, and a strong aptitude for dressage. Currently going at a green 3rd Level with schooling that includes shoulder-in, travers, renvers, green half pass, multiple flying changes in a row, and beginning schooling piaffe. Has not yet started changes on a count. Originally started by his adult amateur owner with professional assistance and regular guidance throughout his development, including training with a Grand Prix dressage rider/trainer. He has also been ridden by a junior rider. Sensitive, intelligent horse with a huge personality who genuinely loves being around people and thrives on attention. He wants to be part of everything and gives 110% every single day. We lovingly refer to him as “Naaley.” Initially produced for eventing, he has since made it very clear that his true talent and preference is straight dressage. He can absolutely jump, but after four years of trying to make eventing his career path, it has become obvious that dressage is where he is happiest and most confident. This is an extremely difficult sale and is only being considered because his owner ultimately wants to continue pursuing eventing. He has experience at schooling shows, clinics, and recognized events with respectable dressage scores and consistent exposure off property. Notable accomplishments include: Multiple recognized HT completions and placings Dressage scores as low as 27 at recognized events Clinics with Philip Dutton, Doug Payne, Brian MacMahon, and Jodi Lees Lifetime United States Dressage Federation and United States Eventing Association numbers He is best suited for a confident, experienced rider or professional program rather than a beginner/amateur home. Management considerations include: Cribbing Requires sedation for farrier work (currently in 4 plain shoes and shod every 6 weeks) Trailers well but does not typically self-load History of chronic Lyme disease requiring monitoring and periodic treatment/maintenance His Lyme disease has been very manageable and has not limited his ability to work, train, or progress in his career. Extensive veterinary and competition records available to serious buyers, including ulcer treatment history with successful resolution and detailed Lyme treatment records. I truly love this horse and want what’s best for him, and I will be very selective about where he ends up. Currently priced in the low-mid 5s starting with a 3. Price expected to increase with continued training and show experience. Located in Burlington, North Carolina.
