If you’re looking for a laid back, confidence-building type that truly takes life in stride, Lucky may be your girl. Standing at 14.1 with plenty of substance, she comfortably suits riders of many shapes and sizes and has experience doing a little bit of everything. Lucky has been to horse shows, trail rides, obstacle courses, and even the World Equestrian Center — and none of it phases her. She settles in immediately, requires no lunging, and approaches life with an easygoing attitude that is hard to find. Under saddle, Lucky: * Jumps comfortably * Schools lower level dressage * Trail rides quietly * Navigates obstacle courses * Is currently learning her lead changes and progressing nicely She is much more “whoa” than “go” and is definitely more kick ride than hot ride. Barefoot and an easy keeper, she has been simple to maintain and happy living a low-drama lifestyle. Now for the honest part — Lucky is very much pony-brained. 😅 She can absolutely be lazy and occasionally opinionated/headstrong, especially if she thinks she can negotiate for less work. Because of this, she is best suited for someone with a sense of humor, realistic expectations, and enough confidence to keep her motivated and accountable. We do feel consistent work (and maybe shedding a few pounds) Lucky would be a superstar. Lucky has a lot of personality, but she is safe, experienced, and incredibly unbothered by the world around her — qualities that are becoming harder and harder to find.
