It breaks my heart to write this, but I am looking to rehome my horse, Regalo. On the ground, he is a kind soul with a sense of humor. He has great manners—he does not bite, kick, or push on fences, and he is a total gentleman to handle.
Under saddle, Regalo is an athletic bay with a strong, clean build and a lot of natural "go" in him. He loves to work, open up, and get a great workout in. Because of his motor and athleticism, he is not a beginner's horse and needs a confident rider who can match his energy.
I originally got him because I wanted to barrel race. While he hasn't been officially trained for it, I've taken him around the barrels and he takes to it well—he is intelligent, listens, and responsive for someone who knows how to handle horses.
He simply has more drive than I can confidently handle at this stage in my riding journey. He needs an experienced rider who can give him a consistent job and help him reach his full potential.
