Skyler is a 6-year-old BLM Mustang gelding standing approximately 15–15.1 hands. He is a versatile, athletic horse with experience both in and out of the arena and is looking for a confident rider who enjoys building a true partnership.

Skyler has been shown both Western and English and has experience in trail riding, ranch riding, cattle work, obstacles, dragging logs, crossing tarps, and navigating a variety of real-world situations. He enjoys having a job and is happiest with consistency and purpose.

One of Skyler’s greatest qualities is his desire to connect with his person. He genuinely enjoys liberty work and thrives on relationship-based training. He is kind, curious, and intelligent, making him a rewarding partner for someone who appreciates the unique bond Mustangs are known for.

On the ground, Skyler is easy to be around. He stands tied quietly, is great for the farrier, enjoys playing in water, and has been exposed to many different environments and obstacles. He is thoughtful and willing, always trying to understand what is being asked of him.

Skyler does have PSSM, which was diagnosed later in his training. Since receiving the proper management, he has done very well and is easy to maintain. With consistent work and appropriate care, he continues to improve and is happy, comfortable, and ready for his next adventure.

Because of his history, Skyler is best suited for a confident, experienced rider rather than a beginner. Occasionally, particularly when returning to work after time off, he may express himself with a small crowhop or test his rider. These moments have become less frequent as his PSSM has been managed correctly and with consistent riding.
