Meet Rayray, I have owned her since she was a weanling, with full records for her health, and care throughout the years with me. She does not disappoint in the looks department and has the sweetest personality. Extensive natural horsemanship groundwork training, started under saddle slowly and smoothly while being ridden strictly to the Buck Branaman style of natural horsemanship. Not for beginners but would excel with any advanced or intermediate rider looking for a reliable horse for trail riding, cow events, ranch riding, and Vaquero style riding. The only reason why we are considering finding her a new home is we need to downsize due to my work schedule and needing to find a larger horse for my fiancé to ride. Pros: Trail rides alone or in groups with ease, crosses all water, bridges, logs, rocky terrain, and any obstacles with ease. Not herd bound, likes to have a job, trailers and backs out like a dream and travels quietly to every destination, extensive groundwork, stands tied or cross ties, hobble trained, highlines, bathes, lunges by queue, liberty work, great for the farrier, sensitive to rider on the ground or under saddle, picks up leads correctly, moves off a soft feel, willing and fun personality, middle of the pecking order and is an easy keeper, first to greet you at the gate, pasture and mountain raised. I have done a little bit of everything with her over the years, and she excels at most things. Cons: Smaller hooves and does best with front shoes. In a herd turnout she does best with a calm and quiet group to mingle with. High stung horses do make her become marish (only happened once and I can tell you about it). She is sensitive to dusty conditions, she did pass a full lung check and we determined she only needs her hay wettened before feeding, and she does best with 24/7 turnout with a run-in style shelter. And lastly, she needs a rider who is under 150lbs and someone not looking to participate in speed events. PPE and Exams are welcome! I am happy to meet at any location within 30 miles of Arlington for an arena ride or trail ride or meet you at our home to ride in our arena.
