Freya is a buckskin mare, 6-7 years old, standing 14.3 hands. She came straight off the range at the 2025 sale, wild and untouched, and has been gentled here since. She was bred while still out on the range, and foaled her filly, Moon, on April 18th of this year.

Freya has been a joy to work with. Despite her limited handling, she never overreacts and is easy to manage — the kind of mare who just settles into whatever you ask of her. She lives out on a 100-acre pasture with a large herd, and I can drive right up to feed her supplements; she takes her pellets right out of my hand. In a smaller space she halters easily, leads well, and grooms nicely — that's the extent of her training so far, but it's a solid foundation to build on.

Freya sells with this year's filly until October. Moon can be weaned mid-October, so if you're only interested in one or the other, they can be separated at that point.

Moon was born April 18th and her DNA type traces back to Belgian and Tennessee Walker. She's a big foal, expected to mature at 15 hands or more. She's shown signs of being four-gaited from the start — with mixed-breed gaited horses it usually takes some work to bring out true gaits, but the potential is there. She may also be going gray, like her dam. Moon spends her days out with the herd, often running with the yearlings, including her full sister — growing up the way a young horse should, learning her manners from the herd around her.

Freya is DNA typed and registered with NAMAR. Both girls have been well cared for and are looking for a good home to grow into.
