Cool Beans is a handsome bay Morgan gelding, 12 years old.
He is a genuinely sweet horse — personable, easy to handle, good to be around on the ground. Under saddle he is forward and spirited and needs a confident, experienced rider. He is not a beginner's horse, and I won't pretend otherwise. He is simply more horse than I have time for. My job no longer allows me to ride and work with him the way he deserves, and I would rather he go to someone who appreciates him and can give him the time he warrants.
The price reflects that I want him placed well and placed soon, not that something is wrong with him. Everything I know is written below.

Shown in hand through the 2025 season with blue ribbons at the Randolph Fall Classic (OASPHA),and the Triple Point Horse Show, plus a third at the Buckeye Morgan Challenge. Competed at the 53rd Annual Grand National and World Championship Morgan Horse Show.
He was also shown in driving classes by a previous owner around 2018. He has not been driven since, and I have not driven him myself.

I bought Beans from a seller in October 2024 without seeing him. He is more horse than I can handle. Here is everything:
• Not in regular work since November 2025. He will need legging up and consistent riding.
• Forward and spirited under saddle. Experienced rider required. This is the single most important thing to understand about him.
• He had extensive professional training as a young horse and carries an excellent foundation. He is light in the mouth and responsive — the flip side of that is he is quick off the leg and rewards a quiet, experienced rider rather than a busy one.
• Metabolic monitoring — no Cushing's, no laminitis. Recent Cornell bloodwork and an oral sugar test came back showing mildly insulin dysregulated, and foot x-rays show no laminitic changes. Full lab reports available on request.
• Healing summer sore, left hind foot, currently under treatment.
• Cosmetic scar, left hindquarter, from a trailer injury in 2025. No lasting soundness issue. Photo and videos are available upon request.
Vet records available. A pre-purchase exam is welcome and encouraged.
About the home: I am not pricing him to make money, so what matters to me is that he goes somewhere good.
