Rio is a 10-year-old, 16.3hh bay Thoroughbred gelding, with a kind personality and a willing attitude. He is incredibly sweet, intelligent, and enjoys having a job. Rio has experience competing in Beginner Novice eventing and has a solid foundation in dressage and low-level eventing, making him a great prospect for someone looking for an athletic, trainable OTTB.
Rio is smart, eager to learn, and thrives with consistent work. He is a little rusty from having some time off, but he has the talent and mindset to continue developing with his next rider with a consistent program.
Rio has had intermittent soundness issues related to his front feet. He has done well with consistent corrective shoeing and routine hoof care. Aside from this, he has no known health issues, is current on vaccinations, and has received regular veterinary and farrier care.
