Lab is a true gentleman with the personality and presence to match. He is straightforward with respectable ground manners and a kind demeanor. He lunges, stands quietly to be mounted, ties, bathes, hauls well, and stands quietly for the farrier. He is currently fully shod with healthy, correct feet. No health or lameness history, current Coggins, dental, and vaccine records. Requires no veterinary maintenance, and has never been injected. Clean X-rays from 2023 are available. Currently in full-time dressage training, Lab rides western, english, and bareback. He is schooling 2nd level with the beginning of changes. He has exceptional balance through his back and hind end and rides out and open to the contact. His gaits are consistent, impressive, and exceptionally sit-able, making him easily rideable and amateur-friendly. Lab has extensive experience away from home and has been ridden consistently in both indoor and outdoor arenas, as well as on trails. He travels well to new environments and is the same horse off-property as he is at home. He has shown extensively since 2021, including the SCF Young Horse Show Series at liberty and under saddle, as well as USEF/USDF. He is currently used in lessons with multiple students ranging from youth to adult riders. Lab is accustomed to a very chaotic arena environment involving barrel racers, children, and a high volume of horses, and he handles it all exceptionally well. He is not barn or herd sour and has no dangerous habits. He is currently ridden in a 3-piece lozenge eggbutt bit or a rope halter and goes well with or without spurs or a whip. He is a registered US Hanoverian and US Bred by Iron Horse Farm, Lexington, KY. By Landkonig and out of a Lordanos dam. Lifetime USDF registration. Lab is my personal gelding and is only offered for sale due to his size. At 5’11”, I personally prefer horses over 17HH. While Lab is a lovely height and build he is simply not my ideal behemoth of a horse. I am his third owner, and his entire life history is known. Showings available in person or virtually.
